Adding sources to NotebookLM one at a time means copy a URL, switch tabs, click Add source, paste, repeat. This keeps a running queue while you browse, so the whole batch goes into the Add source box in a single paste.

While you read, add the current page, a YouTube video, a link, or selected text to a local queue from the toolbar button or the right-click menu. A badge counts what is waiting. When you open notebooklm.google.com a small panel shows your queue — copy every URL with one click and paste them into the Add source box, or copy items one by one.

Everything stays on your device. The queue lives in your browser, there is no account, and nothing is uploaded.

    You are working through search results and every promising page belongs in the same notebook. Click the toolbar button on each one and the icon badge counts what is waiting. Open notebooklm.google.com and the panel lists everything you collected, with Copy all URLs putting them on the clipboard one per line.

  • Mixing videos in with articles

    A YouTube link goes into the same queue as a blog post, and shows up in the panel with a play marker so you can tell the two apart at a glance. You can also right-click a link on a search page and queue it without opening it first. Nothing is fetched from the page, only its address and title.

  • Saving the paragraph, not just the link

    Sometimes the reason you are keeping a page is one section of it. Select the text, right-click, and the selection is stored next to the page URL, up to 2,000 characters. The per-item copy button then hands you the URL and that excerpt together instead of the bare link.

How to use it

Single purpose

Single purpose: Collect web pages, YouTube videos, links, and text selections into a local queue and help the user batch-add them as sources on notebooklm.google.com. Permission — storage: Used only to keep the clip queue and store it locally (chrome.storage.local) so it survives between pages. No personal data stored. Permission — contextMenus: Used only to add the right-click options that queue the current page, a link, or a selection. Permission — activeTab: Used only to read the current tab's URL and title at the moment the user clicks the toolbar button, so the page can be added to the queue. Host permissions — https://notebooklm.google.com/*: The content script injects the queue panel on NotebookLM so the user can copy queued URLs there. Scope limited to notebooklm.google.com only; no <all_urls>. Remote code: None. All code is bundled in the package; nothing is fetched or eval'd at runtime. Data collection / transmission: None. The queue is stored locally and never transmitted. No analytics, no tracking.

Independent extension, not affiliated with Google or NotebookLM. It runs only the code shipped inside the package — no remote code is fetched.

Questions people ask

How do I add multiple sources to NotebookLM at once?

Collect them as you browse, then paste once. Click the toolbar button on any page, or right-click to queue the page, a link, or your selection, and the count on the icon tells you how many are waiting. On notebooklm.google.com a floating panel shows the queue, and Copy all URLs puts every entry on your clipboard, one URL per line, ready for the Add source field.

Does it fill in the Add source dialog automatically?

No. It copies the queued URLs to your clipboard and you paste them into Add source yourself. The content script draws only its own panel and never reads or drives Google's interface, which is why a NotebookLM redesign does not stop it working.

What permissions does this chrome extension request?

Three, and no more: storage, contextMenus and activeTab. Storage keeps the queue in chrome.storage.local, contextMenus adds the right-click entries, and activeTab reads the current tab's URL and title at the moment you click the toolbar button. The content script is limited to https://notebooklm.google.com/*.

Does the queue survive a browser restart?

Yes. It is written to chrome.storage.local, so it is still there the next day. Items stay until you delete them one by one or use Clear, and adding the same URL with the same note twice is recognised so you do not get a duplicate row.

Can I queue a page from inside NotebookLM?

No, and that is deliberate. Only http and https pages qualify and notebooklm.google.com is excluded, because on that domain the toolbar button opens the queue panel instead of clipping. The right-click menu also carries an Open NotebookLM entry that jumps to an existing tab if you already have one open.
